Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

Engineering Enables Science: NASA Workshop

Event Date:
Dec 7 2015 - 3:30pm

On December 7th, the LaSalle Public Library will launch the first in a series of eight workshops especially for children ages 10 through 14 years. Each workshop will meet for 90 minutes. Ideally, participants will work in groups of 4 (dependent on participation,) to explore engineering as a process, and have fun learning how engineers solve problems—solutions that advance science and space exploration.

This is a free program, open to the public, but is limited to 24 participants. To register, visit or call the Library at 815-223-2341. Participants will work with their team member throughout the eight workshops; while other obligations sometimes require a team member to miss a workshop, we hope that participants will try to attend all eight sessions.

The workshops will meet from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the following Mondays: December 7th and 14th, January 4th, 11th, and 25th, and February 1st, 8th, and 22nd.
