Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

Gallery One Art

Event Date:
Jul 28 2014 - 11:00am

What does “identity” mean? How about “courage?” Gallery One is an artistic forum to think about big ideas like these through photography, historical and contemporary writing, art, TEDTalks and other video materials. Participants will then use their creativity to design and produce works of art that represent their unique ideas. The art will be displayed in the library along with the artist’s statement regarding the artwork.

Are you in? This is a big idea program for teens with big ideas.

We hope to use the success of this program in a presentation to other libraries to encourage them to incorporate Gallery One teen programming into their schedules. Library staff will partner with Mrs. Adams from District 122; Mrs. Adams teaches Art and is an artist herself.

A light lunch will be provided.

Gallery One will also meet on August 4th at the same times.

For more information or to register, please call the Library at 815-223-2341.
