Enlightening and Inspiring Generations with Generations of Ideas

I can’t help but imagine how many people’s lives have been changed by 100 years of reading your books.  …  I remember how it felt as a child walking into that quiet room and realizing that I could go just about anywhere I wanted.  That room was an escape from the world, and, at the same time a window onto any part of the universe that I chose to explore.  …  I still feel a sense of possibility and experience a feeling that time has stopped when I walk into a library.  I usually don’t have a particular book in mind, but like to wander around and see what I can discover.

Mowtown Family Concert in the Park

Event Date:
Aug 2 2014 - 11:30am

Contagious high-energy…that’s Rick Kelley’s totally interactive, original and brimming with everything “fun, memorable and exciting about Motown hits”, family show! Parents on stage as background singers…put on those shades and go “Under the Boardwalk.” Can you back-up “Wait Till the Midnight Hour?” “Shake It Up Baby” with a hula hoop? When’s the last time you did the Limbo Rock? I “heard it through the grapevine” that THIS is a not-to-be missed concert.

For more information, please call the LaSalle Public Library at 815-223-2341.
