Because of our library system anyone in America can educate themselves in any field they desire.  If they are confused, librarians (that without exception in my forty-seven years experience with them) actually want to help; they take the time to try and get whatever is needed.  For free.  For anybody.

Summer Reading Registration Begins

Register now for “Space for Curiosity” 2014 Summer Reading.  Summer Reading & Programming begin on June 2nd.  Outer space, inner space, creative space, reading space…space to explore!  What will YOU discover?

Summer Preschool Storytime/Crafts begins on Tuesday, May 27th, at 11:45 a.m. and continues through July.

Summer Teen Read begins Monday, June 9th, at 4:00 p.m. and continues biweekly through July 7th.  Register in May and reserve a copy of the Teen Read book selection.

Make-It, Inc. easy craft time, begins Wednesday, June 4th, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., and continues every Wednesday through July.

Tail-Waggers Club with Elli, 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 10th; July date to be announced.

NASA Ambassador, Joel Knapper “International Space Station,” 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 14th.

Don’t miss NASA’s “Journey to Tomorrow” Space Exhibit!  Meet NASA Scientists, challenge yourself with NASA Interactive Space Activities, view real Moon Rocks! Open from 11:00 a.m.– 7:00 p.m. June 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th!  Access to NASA’s “Journey to Tomorrow” premier science exhibit was made possible through a generous grant from the Alwin C. Carus Trust.  When you visit the exhibit, be sure to get your NASA photo souvenir photo free of charge.
