When I was a young boy, my local library was a place of sanctuary and wonder.  … Often, after collecting a dozen or more titles, I would curl up on the floor at the end of the darkest aisle and spend the day devouring my finds.  There, surrounded by the towering stacks, I found the gateway to the entire human world.  May your journeys here be as wondrous.

A Traditional Jazz Piano Program

53 Deborrah WyndhamJoin the LaSalle Public Library when Pianist Deborrah Wyndham shares traditional jazz and ragtime piano styles that helped shape the jazz we know today.  American music from the 1890’s through the 1940s, including piano rags by various composers from the Ragtime Era will be performed as well as boogie woogie, novelty, stride and late jazz styles and favorites.

Pianist/composer Deborrah Wyndham, who has give over 3,000 performances, play a wide variety of music from ragtime and other early jazz styles to original contemporary music. With appearances on FOX, NBC and ABC, listeners have described her playing as sounding “like four hands”.    Deborrah performs regularly throughout the United States.
