Caribbean Concert in the Park featuring OD TAPO IMI Tropical Pop!

Often described as “Blue Man Group meets Jimmy Buffett”, this “Tropical Pop Steel Drum Band” show includes Blue Man Group and Stomp-style percussion numbers accentuated with steel drum, percussion, drums, guitars and singing all enhanced with choreography and special effects – one that delivers upbeat Caribbean genre entertainment.  This one-of-a-kind show recreates the traditional sounds of the islands with energy and humor.  With classics like “Kokomo” and pop favorites like “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” this show will appeal to young and old alike. To enhance the mood, the audience is encouraged to attend in tropical attire.

OD TAPO IMI was featured at the Disney Magnificent Mile Festival of Lights Parade, and has performed at Taste of Chicago, Milwaukee’s Summerfest, QVC Home Shopping Network, CBS This Morning and opened for Jimmy Buffett’s tours through the Midwest. Their original music has been played numerous times on MTV, VH1, The Travel Channel, A&E and in major motion pictures including the recent Monkey Love.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, August 4th, at Hegler Park, 855 MacArthur Street, LaSalle, IL.  The one-hour concert will begin at 11:30 a.m.  Pack a picnic lunch and bring the whole family to a concert sure to make you smile!  For all ages. This free concert is a cooperative venture of the LaSalle Park District and the LaSalle Public Library.
